The seven virtues for your happiness and inner peace

Do you want to be happy? Improve your relationships? Live in harmony with yourself again? The first thing to do is cultivate the seven most important virtues, those that can truly make you a happy and serene woman.

1. Sense of humor

Healthy self-irony is essential. Being self-ironic means knowing how to laugh at your own imperfections and (why not), even at your own mistakes. Let’s commit ourselves to coloring life with a healthy sense of lightness: it will benefit us and the people we love.

2. Female solidarity

There are women who compete with others, who feed on gossip and who would do anything to hinder our career. And then there are women, the wonderful ones, who are there to support us, encourage us and make us better. And they are the ones who, in the end, make the world better. You? What kind of woman do you want to be?

3. Independence

To find inner harmony it is essential to learn to be comfortable with ourselves and to enjoy our own company. We must certainly continue to build and improve relationships, but at the same time, maintain our emotional independence. After all, we don’t need to look for someone to complete us, we already are complete.

4. Sense of gratitude

Remembering to rejoice every day for what we have can truly change our lives. That’s why we need to train our mind and spirit to gratitude. We often focus our attention on what we don’t have but, in doing so, we forget that we are much “richer” than we think.

5. The desire to learn

There is a saying that “those who don’t train, stop” and it is absolutely true. Dragged by the daily routine (and by trash TV…), we risk neglecting our brain. To grow it is essential to continue studying, reading and learning new things. Let’s always remember Plutarch’s lesson: “our mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled”.

6. Ethics

One thing is to do what is convenient or what is easy, another (quite another) is to do what is right. It’s useless to tell ourselves lies and try to justify some attitudes. When we are faced with a choice, the first question we should ask ourselves is: “is what I am about to do ethical?”. Our soul will know how to suggest the answer… acting ethically is the true key to finding inner harmony.

7. Sense of self

If we are not the first to recognize our own worth, no one else will. A healthy sense of self is respect for one’s own dignity. So stop chasing those who don’t love us, stop begging for crumbs of attention and stop putting on a pedestal those who don’t know how to appreciate us! Don’t focus on what you want right now, but on what you deserve for life… to be happier!
